Katelyn Snook is a SoCal-based production designer and Dodge College of Film and Media Arts alum. She received a BFA in Film Production with an emphasis in Production Design and a minor in Game Development Programming and currently works as Production Designer intern for Walt Disney Imagineering in Anaheim.
Katelyn is inspired by interactive worlds in theme parks and intricate set design in fantasy films and animation. She enjoys learning about architecture, art museums, and stories behind vintage objects while incorporating them into her work.
Katelyn's mission is to spread joy and inspire deeper ideas through slice-of-life storytelling, fantastical worlds, individual expressionism, and immersion into periods of time; she hopes to encourage others to explore their authenticity, as she believes everyone has a unique voice to be heard.
In her path as a lifelong learner, Katelyn spends her free time teaching herself new artistic skills (wood burning, carpentry, portraiture, collage-making, punch needling, upholstery, sewing, calligraphy, 3D modeling, mural-painting, board game fabrication... to name a few).
Background: Katelyn graduated high school in Portland, Oregon, where she received awards in both leadership & graphic design, completed 400+ hours of community service, and played three varsity sports.
